Columbus Chapter Meetings

31Oct24 Update:

We will move our monthly meetings to AMVETS Post 1928 beginning November 2024.

The second Thursday of each month at 1130 am.

Address:        3780 West Broad Street
                        Columbus, OH 43228

Recommended Directions:
Option 1
Drive I-270 and exit US-40/Broad Street.  (Exit 7A if driving southbound and Exit 7 if driving northbound.)
Take the exit that goes to east bound traffic on Broad Street.
AMVETS 1928 is just under one mile from I-270.
AMVETS 1928 is on the north side of West Broad Street
You will drive past a Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet dealership (also on the north side of West Broad Street) and approximately 250 meters before you arrive at AMVETS 1928.

Option 2
If you are driving I-70 from the east or west, you can take the Wilson Road exit (Exit 94).
Drive 1.2 miles south on Wilson Road.
Turn right onto West Broad Street.
AMVETS 1928 is 0.3 mile from Wilson Road and will be on the right side (north side) of West Broad Street.
DO NOT exit I-70 onto West Broad Street at Exit 97.  This will require 3 miles of driving through a section of Columbus that you should avoid.


AMVETS Post 1928 has a separate meeting room where we will meet.  Just tell the AMVETS staff you are looking for the Special Forces Association, and they will direct you to the room.

AMVETS Post 1928 also has a kitchen that is operated by a full-time catering business.  You can order from an extensive menu, and the prices are remarkably low.  This food is known to be the best in Columbus when compared with other AMVETS, American Legion and VFW posts.

Our usual meeting place, Amvets Post 89, has been sold. A new meeting place has yet to be determined.
