SUPPORTING OHIO'S GREEN BERETS

The Ohio Green Beret Support Group, LLC is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that solely supports active duty and retired Special Forces soldiers and their families. It is a subsidiary to The Buckeye Chapter of the Special Forces Association. Ohio has one Special Forces unit that deploys frequently.

The Ohio Green Beret Support Group’s Tax Identification Number (TIN) is 83-1512941.

The Ohio Green Beret Support Group has no expenses related to compensation of its members. All donations are used for the following initiatives:

Scholarship program for Green Berets and their immediate families and direct descendants. Scholarships and tuition grants are available for university degrees of all types as well as vocational training.

Gold Star Family support. We have provided thousands of dollars in direct support of the widows, children and immediate family members of Green Berets who have lost their lives in combat or died from combat wounds.

Family support and unit support. We pay for all expenses related to family day events and Christmas parties (including gifts for children) of Ohio’s only Special Forces unit.

Family support of wounded Green Berets. We pay for travel expenses for family members to visit their Green Berets who have been wounded or injured and remain recovering at military hospitals.

The Ohio Military Hall of Fame for Valor. We pay for the nomination expenses of Green Berets inducted into this prestigious organization. We also make donations directly to the Hall of Fame for Valor to support its operations.

The Ohio Green Beret Support Group, LLC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization. Your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

We host several fundraising events each year, and we seek sponsors for them. Our 3 Gun Shoot is an example. It is a fun and novice-friendly event. Please reference the flier. Sponsorships begin at $1000 per shooter; $5000 sponsors can send six shooters to the event. All you need to bring is comfortable clothing with pockets in the pants. We will begin with a safety briefing at 9:30 am and will conclude near 3:00 pm. Sponsors are provided the following:

Rifle, pistol and shotgun for use during the event.
Ammunition for all three weapons.
Hearing protection.
A Green Beret coach for the day.
Lunch
Refreshments during the entire day.
VIP parking
Opportunity for winning one of our dozens of door prizes.
Named recognition on our Sponsor Banner and our SFA 45 website.
